Often, a topical anaesthetic is applied before the treatment to minimise discomfort. The laser skin treatment takes between 15 to 30 minutes. You might want to apply a cold compress for a while before the treatment is completed with moisturiser and sunscreen application.

Immediately after a Palomar Icon laser skin treatment, your skin may feel warm, red, and slightly swollen. It’s similar to a bad sunburn and usually improves within a day or three. For the best results, you should ideally do three to five sessions spaced three to four weeks apart, based on your customised treatment plan.
